Established in 2013, by Mrs Dhanashree Shelar, who from the very beginning has been motivated by the traditional Indian values of honesty, integrity and service, which form the fabric of our school value system.
Our scholastic record, innovative learning methods and strong commitment to delivering quality through integrity has helped us scale heights that few have managed in the field of education. As a result, Richmond India Preschool, today is a trusted name and an acknowledged leader in the collective effort to shape the future of our children and the nation. Our Team and Our Values

All our teachers have undergone extensive training.
They are not just backed by their qualification but a passion for early childhood education. When you enter a Richmond classroom, you will see the teacher completely in sync with her children’s needs and often seen creating fun-filled learning experiences for them.

We have a zero tolerance policy towards corporal punishment and teachers are trained of how to get their point across to the children without instilling any fear into the children. We often conduct training modules on child psychology and behavior that helps our teachers deal better with children.

Transport Facility

Majority of our Richmond children arrange for transportation themselves. However we do understand that some parents may not be unable to arrange for the same, and which is why we have a multi route van facility. Each van has a lady attendant, conductor and trained driver. We place highest priority to children’s safety.

Our Infrastructure

We have invested in state-of-art infrastructure at our centre.
Our centre has been designed keeping in mind the need for spacious indoors and exploratory outdoors. Specially designed child friendly furniture for our classrooms and other common areas; bright, happy colours, with sensory explorations along corridors and classroom walls; everything comes together to offer children a delightful and engaging learning. We also have projectors and IPads for providing children with multimedia learning experiences.

Our Principal Mrs Dhanashree R Shelar (BCOM, MBA (HR), B Ed)

  • A mompreneur, Dhanashree, brings to table her experience as mother and a working professional . Having specialized in child psychology, she drives the preschool with her passion and commitment to instill the right values in children, that will make them good human beings tomorrow.
  • As a mother, she understood the challenges working mothers face and what it is to give up one’s career to be with children. This led her to start Richmond India Preschool. It was her way to give back to the society and help all mothers by taking care of their children and providing them with an excellent learning place.
  • What started at home as a love for children soon turned into a passionate business idea.
  • When she was taking care of 4 of her friend’s children at home, she realized there was a need for a place where young couples who lived in a nuclear family and were working, could leave their children. A safe, secure environment that was not just a play school but like a home with parent -like teachers.
  • Today from 4 – 50 students Dhanashree has indeed come a long way and continues to work with passion for children
  • It is her dream to slowly expand her school to more centres across Mumbai, Maharashtra and have a network of national centres is on the horizon.
